We are currently hiring a Food Production and Service Assistant to join our essential team at Fife College, Dunfermline Campus.

  • £12 per hour
  • Temporary contract until June 2024, with the chance to transition to a permanent contract from August 2024
  • 32 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • Shifts between 7.30am – 2pm

Responsibilities

  • Manage cold food production at Dunfermline Campus
  • Serve food and drinks to customers
  • Hot counter service
  • Food preparation, such as making sandwiches, salads, paninis, and desserts
  • Food production and service tasks
  • Operate the till, handle payments, and maintain necessary financial records
  • Restock goods and ensure attractive merchandise displays
  • Clean back-of-house areas, crockery, and cutlery using appropriate equipment after receiving training
  • Maintain cleanliness of counters and other public spaces
  • Adhere to food hygiene and safety protocols as per health and safety standards
  • Participate in required training sessions

Requirements

  • Prior kitchen or food prep experience is advantageous
  • Must be a dependable team player with exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding of Allergen regulations is crucial
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
  • DBS check is mandatory
  • Full training will be provided for this role
