Senior Full Stack Engineer (TypeScript, React, , )

Oxford hybrid ideal or remote also fine (couple of times per month in the Oxford office would be great if not possible to go each week)


Avanti Rec are working with an exciting company who are shaping the future of interactive entertainment, where players can have conversations with the characters using AI.


Now we're searching for a passionate and ambitious full-stack engineer to join a growing team, who can bring their strong technical experience building web platforms to expand our clients capabilities.


To give you a flavour of where our clients software is currently being used, their previous and current partners include the likes of Warner Bros, Sky, NBC Universal and numerous games studios around the world.

This role is very much hands-on, diving deep into codebases to create new features or improve existing code.

Your tasks quest might include...
Managing the platform roadmap and prioritising tasks

Being responsible for implementing new features, covering scoping, scheduling, implementation and testing

Improving existing aspects of the codebase, reducing technical debt, such as building a truly collaborative graph editor

Driving the use of new technologies and practices into the team, including integrating new generative technology

Helping to grow the technical team, being involved with hiring and being a role-model for the team

We'd love you to...
Have strong technical experience with TypeScript, React, and

Be familiar with GraphQL, Postgres, Redis

Be familiar with CI, DevOps, tooling and hosting (such as AWS, Docker, Cloudflare, Heroku)

Have experience of people management or leading a team (advantage, not necessary)

Be confident with helping with roadmap tasks

Experienced in building and architecting web platforms

Find fun new ways to showcase how AI can support creativity

Equally passionate about digital humans, the metaverse, and conversational tech
