We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a dedicated Team Leader to join our Beverley Lewis House team. As a key member of our team, you will provide person-centered support services for women with learning disabilities, mental health, and/or autism who are seeking refuge from domestic abuse or harm.

Beverley Lewis House stands out as the sole safe house in the country for women with learning disabilities, recognized with national awards and featured on Channel 4's Dispatches show for its exceptional practices. We are seeking individuals full of passion and energy to contribute to our team and uphold the outstanding reputation that this program has achieved.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant and meaningful impact since the scheme supports only a small number of women. Your responsibilities will revolve around assisting individuals in living independently while recovering from trauma. Extensive training on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) interventions will be provided to equip you with the skills to identify and address triggers resulting from past abuse experiences.

As the Team Leader, you will collaborate with the Locality Manager to oversee the operational aspects of the scheme. Your duties will include supervising and motivating a team of specialist support workers to deliver personalized care and support services tailored to women with learning disabilities and complex needs. Additionally, you will play a role in managing the scheme's financial and administrative procedures on a day-to-day basis.

Successful candidates for this role will possess:

  • Experience in supporting women with learning disabilities and complex needs in various settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centered approach
  • Prior experience in supervising and motivating staff
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and workplace health and safety standards
  • Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualifications
