The Role


The Management Accountant will maintain accurate accounting records, producing financial information to the Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager and wider finance function - as well as liaising with non-finance stakeholders.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts
  • Prepare & post relevant journals
  • Assist with reforecasting
  • Variance analysis in monthly accounts to be reviewed by FBP
  • Fixed Asset register & monthly depreciation journal
  • Prepare monthly overhead allocation report
  • Complete monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare and review VAT
  • Oversee and report on financial progress of projects
  • Raise Invoices
  • Assist with Debtor management
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets
  • Assist with external audit
  • Provide improvement suggestions to the wider Finance Function
  • Ad Hoc duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant qualifications or qualified by experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Independent experience working on journals and balance sheets
  • In depth understanding of bookkeeping
  • Ability to explain financial information to financial & nonfinancial stakeholders
  • Excellent timekeeping and ability to prioritise
  • Experience in a fast paced environment and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Flexible & adaptable
