Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced receptionist/administrator to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong customer service ethos, and the ability to multi-task.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Deal with patient queries on a daily basis

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Administration
    • Have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
    • Work in accordance with written protocols
    • File post in medical records
    • Fax and photocopy as requested
    • Book Clinicians Clinics and flu vaccinations
    • Answer calls, book appointments, and deal with patient queries
  • Repeat Prescription
    • Thorough knowledge of repeat prescription procedures
    • Issue repeats and ensure they are ready for collection
    • Call patients back with Prescription queries
  • Reception
    • Receive patients and consult with the practice team
    • Hand completed repeat prescriptions to patients and verify names and addresses
    • Process patients' changes of address in computer data and medical records
  • Scanning
    • Scan and file all letters into patients' notes
    • Workflow letters needing action to the relevant clinician
  • Computer
    • Process repeat prescription requests according to practice guidelines
  • Other Tasks
    • Clear rooms after surgeries
    • Ensure building security, have a thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarms
    • Complete any other tasks assigned by managers
  • Confidentiality
    • Respect patient privacy and confidentiality
    • Handle confidential information according to practice policies and procedures
    • Keep information strictly confidential
