Abode Living are currently recruiting for a part time accompanied viewer/property inspector to join their team based in Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne, with a view to further training in the future for property management.


In this position you will be an integral part of the team, you must be compliant with all legal elements of letting and leasehold legislation, although full training will be given.

You will be given the use of a fully electric company car under a salary sacrifice car scheme and after an induction period access to the company profit share scheme.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to later become a full time member of staff in the near future if so required

The duties for this position will include:

  • Dealing with new inquiries and carrying out viewings to assist the lettings department. Arranging and carrying out three monthly periodic inspections for our portfolio of properties and instructing any maintenance if necessary
  • Assist applicants, tenants and landlords with any queries, within a timely manner

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and a good level of numeracy. A good telephone manner, written, communication and organisational skills. Ability to deal with contractors and tenants firmly and effectively under pressure.
  • An excellent telephone manner
Full, clean driving license is required
Hours of work are 20 hours between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday

GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C desirable.

One day at New College Durham for training.
