We are delighted to be offering an advanced early years' apprenticeship for someone with previous early years' experience, looking for their next challenge at Sacred Heart Primary School.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising children play time.
  • Engaging children in learning and play activities.
  • Safeguarding is vital and key point within this role.
  • Making the nursery environment as fun and upbeat as possible to give children fantastic experience in setting.
  • Keeping and updating records.
  • Working with team members.
  • Maintaining a high standard of operation.
  • Attending staff meetings.
  • To keep a record of achievement file on children, for parents/carers.
  • Work alongside parents/carers of special needs children to provide full integration in the setting.
  • Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting, e.g., preparation of snacks and equipment.
  • Recording accidents in the accident book.
  • To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children.
