Overview:


North Fawdon Primary School are looking to appoint an apprentice to join their busy school You will work under the guidance of teachers, be involved in working with individuals or small groups of children to support the education, and personal and social development of pupils and establish positive relationships to assist all pupils to complete structured learning activities.

Role and Responsibilities:

Support to implement learning activities working with individual or small groups of pupils.

Support in producing learning resources, and demonstrating creativity.

Assist in pupil supervision, with occasional supervision of the whole class.

Support in monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs, reporting pupil progress to the class teacher.

Working to the relevant apprenticeship framework and completing work in a timely manner including attending college.

To undertake any of the duties normally associated with a Teaching Assistant to support their training and development.

To build and maintain positive relationships with children.

Provide basic clerical support such as photocopying, laminating and displays.

Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all our children.

Comply with all policies and procedures relating to health, safety and security, confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding.

Recognise your own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others.

Undertake any other duties and responsibilities consistent with the nature, level and grade of the post.

Attend meetings and engage in training and development as relevant.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Apprenticeship qualification.

Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent
