What you'll be responsible for:
- To provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the Patient Choice Advisors, Clinicians and patients.
- To receive incoming telephone calls from clinicians in a confident, efficient and confidential manner.
- To receive telephone calls from patients who require information and visits from the district nursing service and to ensure that the patients' messages are accurate and taken promptly in a courteous manner at all times
- Undertake administration functions for the department, such as data input, photocopying, registering patients into the care of Single Point of Access, attach referrals and add to appropriate waiting lists
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous administrative experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- Lorenzo and SystmOne (desirable)
