Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and implement service improvements for the Employee Relations team.
  • Analyse and utilise employee relations statistics and data for improvement.
  • Supervise Employee Relations Specialists and Advisers.
  • Support and monitor casework management.
  • Provide highquality HR advice to senior managers on complex staffing issues.
  • Build effective working relationships with managers and stakeholders.
  • Work in partnership with trade unions for positive outcomes and a positive working environment.
  • Provide expert advice on policies, pay, conditions, and employment issues.
  • Prepare settlement agreement paperwork and provide support at hearings.
  • Lead change management programs, including restructures and Tupe transfers.

Person Specification (Essential Criteria):

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience in service improvement and development in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to supervise and develop employee relations professionals.
  • Ability to foster positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in advising on restructures, redundancies, TUPE, and ET processes.
  • Experience in a unionised environment and positive union relationships.
  • Experience in providing highquality HR advice on complex employment issues.
