Job Summary
- Support the education and development of learners in the clinical practice setting, working with various groups including unregistered staff, registered nurses, students, apprentices, and learners on different pathways and teams.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice.
Main Duties of the Job
- Develop and deliver education initiatives for Nurses, Midwives, AHPs, and Clinical Support Workers.
- Work clinically with new and existing Nurses to promote best practices.
- Oversee compliance with professional bodies' standards in supporting learners in practice.
- Provide a positive clinical learning environment and pastoral support for nurses, midwives, and AHPs.
- Support maintaining a competent workforce.
- Offer advice and support for the development of newly registered nurses, midwives, and AHPs.
- Facilitate professional support for clinical placements in specific clinical areas.
- Support the development of student nurse associates and student nurses, and deliver training for Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors.

Job Description

- Maintain effective working relationships between clinicians, practitioners, and managers.
- Take responsibility for recognizing and escalating practice issues and taking appropriate action.
- Support the delivery and evaluation of training programmes for expanding clinical skills.

- Assist in educational audits, support education and development initiatives.
- Provide professional leadership and support to nurses, midwives, and AHPs.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, acting as a role model, resource, and facilitator.
- Support systems for monitoring and reporting on the quality of education programmes.

Qualifications
- Essential
- First level registered nurse with current NMC registration
- Degree level qualification in health related subject
- Practice Assessor (or equivalent) / teaching qualification
