About the Role
As a Residential Care Officer (Level 2), you'll have the opportunity to work directly with our incredible children and young individuals. Additionally, you will be supervising other Carers, leading shifts, initiating projects, and mentoring new staff members. Responsibilities will include preparing our young individuals for independent living, managing household tasks, and nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders. You'll be part of a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends, and nights. Furthermore, a 'sleeping in' payment of £40.76 is compensatory for each sleeping shift, along with a compensation of 45p per mile for mileage, overtime payment at time and a half, and complimentary parking at all our homes. Currently, we have open positions for Residential Care Officers (Level 2) in two of our Homes: Eastgate in Sleaford and Strut House in Lincoln. About the Homes
Eastgate's Homes Manager, Kelsie, describes Eastgate as a place built on trust and love, providing a nurturing environment for young people to prosper. Our staff members at Eastgate are known for being warm, supportive, and compassionate. On the other hand, our Interim Homes Manager, Heidi, portrays Strut House as a place dedicated to maintaining a high standard while creatively supporting the hopes and dreams of young individuals. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in planning and implementing various activities and outings to build strong relationships with our young people. About You
Ideal candidates will be individuals who are passionate about caretaking, committed to aiding in the growth and development of our children and young individuals, and willing to enhance their skills by undertaking a QCF qualification in working with children. You should be capable of making informed decisions, supervising staff, leading shifts, and working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, having excellent IT skills, experience, and the ability to produce reports and maintain accurate records are essential. About our offer
