Meatex is the number one wholesale meat trading company in the UK. We have offices in Seaford, Telford and Grimsby, supplying businesses of all shapes and sizes across the UK and Europe.

We're looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our Telford office, to help expand and grow our ambitious company into new territories.

The ideal applicant should have a good background knowledge of the food trade, specifically meat, fish, or other protein-based products, along with a proven track record in sales and business development.

Location –

Key responsibilities –

  • Drive and develop sales within the protein sector, taking and placing orders, customer liaison, establishing and maintaining own customer portfolio.
  • Build rapport and establish long term relationships with both customers and suppliers.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Work with the team to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
  • Track record in a similar environment.
  • Computer literate with a knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Be outgoing with great communication skills including an excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to interact and build relationships effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Able to work using own initiative as well as being part of the team.
  • Be open to travel, to destinations in the UK and Europe.
  • Be organised and punctual.
  • Will have the drive and commitment to seek every possible sales opportunity.
  • Pro-active self starter, ambitious, and ready to make a difference.

Successful Candidates can expect –

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Friday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. No weekends.
