Job Summary:

To assist the Head of Strategy Deployment in delivering the PFIP by developing the Patient First Improvement System (PFIS) roadmap, overseeing the design, development, and delivery of the PFIS training program. Providing direct coaching to staff at various levels, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and enhancing PFIS maturity. Leading a sub team within the Kaizen Office/Strategy Deployment Team to ensure adequate resources for training and improvement activities supporting the Trust's Strategic Initiatives and Objectives.

Collaborating with the Improvement and Delivery Team to identify opportunities for shared learning, alignment, and service/staff development.

Main Duties of the Job:

- Deliver challenging messages, including new working methods and improvement terminology.

- Communicate effectively with personnel at all levels within the Trust.

- Plan, organize, and supervise a wide range of individual and team activities to support PFIS/PFIP delivery.

- Work closely with divisional & care group level triumvirates to lead the PFIS rollout and provide ongoing support.

  • Deliver presentations to diverse audiences, including frontline staff and senior leaders.

Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Support the development and governance of PFIS training, focusing on key success measures.
  • Provide coaching to frontline teams and leaders for PFIS implementation.
  • Facilitate collaborative working and capacity planning across the Trust.

People Management and Development

  • Maximize individual performance in line with organizational goals.
  • Support the development of the team to provide training and coaching support.
  • Mentor other staff for knowledge sharing and development.

Learning and Development

  • Participate in coaching supervision for continuous development.
  • Demonstrate personal and professional development.

Essential and Desirable:

Essential

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Specialist knowledge in Improvement and change methodology.
  • Experience in continuous improvement training and coaching.
  • Analytical skills for issue identification and decision-making support.
  • Team leadership and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Accredited Lean Qualification.
  • Project or program management experience.

Desirable

  • Experience in a continuous improvement system, ideally in the healthcare sector.
  • Coaching and training qualifications.
  • Experience in managing projects/programs in a healthcare setting.
