Early Years Sufficiency and Data Officer

The Early Years' Service provides support to schools and private, voluntary and independent sector early year's providers. It also provides information and support through the Families Information Services.

What will I be doing?

  • Providing and analysing data to support robust planning to meet the local authority's legal duty under Section 6 of the Childcare Act 2006 in relation to childcare sufficiency for children years (19 years with a disability).
  • Assisting with the production and publishing of the Annual Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
  • Undertaking local sufficiency assessments to determine supply and demand of early years and childcare provision.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Experience of extracting, analysing and presenting data
  • Experience of working at a high level in a customerfocussed environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident IT skills in a range of software packages
  • Sound knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or relevant experience
