We are looking for a 'Senior Manager, Marketing transformation' to join the Personalisation and Decisioning team within the Customer, Brand & Engagement (CB&E) function, to play a crucial role in delivering a market leading personalisation capability.

To achieve this, we are on an exciting journey to deliver our new marketing personalisation strategy which will ensure we drive an increase in value and experience for both our customers and the business.

It's an exciting time to join the team as we are embarking on a significant uplift in our capability with a multiyear programme of investment in people, data and technology to support the delivery of our new strategy.

This role is at the heart of this transformation and we're looking for someone special to get this journey started.

Someone who understands modern marketing technology through an end user lens.

Having secured investment to embark on our journey we are in the process of mobilising the delivery of this new capability and need someone to lead these activities for the Marketing Personalisation team.

That means you'll be responsible for establishing and then delivering the programme of change from a business perspective working closely with colleagues in the Central Technology Office (CTO).

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible.

More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working.

We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, at one of our offices.

You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here .
Supporting the Head of Personalisation Strategy and Decisioning, and working right across the Personalisation & Performance team, you'll be responsible for:
Defining a clear roadmap with detailed transition states which unlock value for the business, translating strategy and use cases into data and technology requirements
Providing business side project managed and co-ordination including regular updates on progress and raising and resolving any issues or challenges along the way
Role modelling enterprise leadership, building effective working relationships across the business to gain support to deliver the roadmap. You'll be a key link between the Performance and Personalisation team and the Chief Technology Office.

Maintaining a broad view of the marketing technology landscape and keeping up to date with key vendors and developments which might present opportunities in the future.

You will be an experienced marketing and communications professional, ideally from a financial services background.

Experience and a track record of successful delivering capability uplift in a marketing personalisation setting through enhancements to an organisation's marketing technology and data ecosystem.

Ideally experience of Pega's Customer Decisioning Hub would be advantageous.
Experience of shaping and developing use cases with the associated business case to secure and deliver large-scale investment.

An excellent understanding of the marketing and technology landscape and associated key vendors to support the delivery of personalisation at scale.

Excellent planning & organisational skills and ability to manage a breadth of multiple competing priorities and deliverables with a history of excellent decision making and critical thinking.

Excellent, influencing and stakeholder management skills – right up to the most senior levels.

You'll also be able to hold senior stakeholders to account and drive others to deliver the right outcomes for the Society and our customers.

Experienced at understanding, analysing and interpreting complex data and insight to inform strategy and decision making with a high level of attention to detail.

Creative mindset, a passion to innovate and ability to test & learn and challenge the status quo.

It's also about being clear, precise, and using language that we and, importantly, our customers and members can understand.

Push for better - This is about aiming high and constantly looking for better in how we work together and serve our customers and members.

A personal pension – if you put in 7% of your salary, we'll top up by a further 16%
~ Life assurance worth 8x your salary
~ A great selection of additional benefits through our salary sacrifice scheme
~ Access to an annual performance related bonus
~ Access to training to help you develop and progress your career
~30 days holiday, pro rata
