Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a Residential Home Manager to work within a family run small residential home located near Southampton .
The home is a beautiful small property with lovely views and a picturesque garden area, which provides residential care to elderly residents, some of whom are living with dementia or other age-related conditions.
The client has confirmed they are expanding the home in 2025 so this is a great opportunity for the right person to oversee the expansion, market the home and expand the care team whilst ensuring the high care standards of the home remain.
The salary and bonus for the role will also increase in line with the homes expansionAs a family run business, this care home offers fantastic personalised and homely touches, ensuring a welcoming "home away from home" environment where residents can enjoy living their twilight years in comfort and style within a home rated 'GOOD' by the CQC.
This is a truly unique opportunity for a dynamic care home manager with experience in elderly care to join an independent care provider that offers ongoing training, development and support.
The service boasts an excellent reputation within the area which coincides with the superb status the company has.As Residential Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home.
Your key responsibilities will centre on management of staff, continuing the excellent person centred care for the residents, recruitment, training and ensuring that the home is run in accordance with company and CQC policies.
My client are looking for someone with a genuine passion for care and compassion mixed with a fun and friendly nature to take the helm of this beautiful care home and to continue enriching the lives of its residents.
Job Requirements:
- Overall management of the home
- Promote and maintain a high standard of care
- To ensure effective induction of all staff
- To work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and the Commission for Social Care Inspection standards
- Provide inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and oversee the delivery of high quality care.
- Conform with the latest guidelines, maintain the highest levels of clinical governance, whilst regularly auditing practices and procedures.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Elderly / Dementia experience
- Have a positive attitude towards improving Standards of Care.
- Possess good, strong leadership skills and works well as part of a team.
- At least 1 years' experience as a Home Manager within the care sector
- RMA / NVQ 5 or equivalent
- Knowledge of quality standards
- Strong CQC legislation knowledge
- Excellent communication and marketing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Good communication skills
