Job Summary:
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for caregiving? We're actively seeking a Live-In Carer to join our client's esteemed care team in Woking.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in providing personalised care and support to a client with specific needs.
Your empathy and experience in [Client's Condition] care will make a significant difference as you assist our client on their health journey.
Responsibilities:
- Health Monitoring: Be vigilant in monitoring our client's health and promptly report any changes.
- Assist with
Daily Tasks:
Help with daily tasks, including [Activities].
- Personal Care: Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Household Management: Maintain a clean and organised living environment. Perform light housekeeping tasks like laundry, tidying up, and ensuring shared spaces remain clean.
- Companionship and
Emotional Support:
Engage in meaningful conversations and activities, offering companionship and emotional support. Create a nurturing environment that promotes well-being.
- Medication Management: Manage and administer medications as prescribed, following proper procedures and schedules. Maintain accurate records and communicate any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Safety and Security: Ensure the individual's safety by implementing necessary precautions, including fall prevention measures, fire safety awareness, and maintaining a hazardfree home environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in [Client's Condition] care.
- Caring, sensitive, and a calm demeanour.
- Strong communication skills, including detailed notetaking.
- Prompt response to health changes.
- Comfortable with meal preparation.
- Willingness to assist with daily tasks, including [Additional Tasks].
- Reliability and responsibility.
- Working hours (8 am8 pm with 2 hours break, relieved by a domiciliary carer).
- If the client mentions the need for waking nights, you should be willing to have a caregiver visit the client's home to take over your responsibilities during the night hours, typically from 8pm until 8am in the morning.
- If the client wakes up repeatedly during the night without a night carer, please inform the care company. Please note that you will not be compensated for hours worked after 8pm, and the care company will handle any necessary arrangements during the night.
- Preferred NVQ level 2/3 in health and social care.
- Preferred DBS on the update service.
- Mandatory training up to date / Willingness to undergo training to be compliant with CQC
