Porta Romana is an English company, based in Farnham, Surrey.

Our brand is synonymous with luxury lighting and furniture, supplying many of the most prestigious hotel, yachts, and residential projects around the world.

The Porta Romana team is around 100 employees, based either in Farnham or at our London showroom.

All our product development, decorative finishing, assembly, and wiring work is undertaken in-house, and we also work with many other skilled artisans around the UK and beyond, to create pieces for our collection.

We are seeking an imaginative and energetic Product Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

As a crucial support member in the product department, you will not only collaborate with the entire team but work closely with the product manager to deliver on projects and bring a fresh perspective to various aspects of product coordination and product design.


Key Responsibilities

  • Actioning product development tasks allocated to Product Coordinator.
  • Collating and delivering data for Porta Romana product guide, quality control packs & Internal training documents.
  • Producing research reports set by the Project Manager and actively engage in innovative product research.
  • Conduct creative and comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences.
  • Supplier and Material Research identify and evaluate potential suppliers and materials that align with product quality standards and costeffectiveness.
  • Work creatively with the Product Manager to align research efforts with project goals. Contribute creatively to project planning and decisionmaking processes.
  • Working closely with suppliers, maintaining key relationships, and overseeing the purchasing of prototypes.
  • Raising and receipting in of Purchase Orders
  • Raising and updating internal orders for refits and photography shoots including lampshades.
  • Ensure photography product is on schedule and available on time
  • Raising of internal Jobs
  • Minuting of Design meetings and distribution thereof.
  • Taking ownership of new collection thumbnails and design trackers. Ensuring they are uptodate.
  • Manage the design registration by entering and maintaining new designs.

Key skills and attributes

  • Proficient in using the Microsoft and Adobe suites with experience using Excel and indesign and/or Illustrator to a competent level.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and project requirements with a flexible and positive mindset.
  • A collaborative approach to working within a team, supporting colleagues, and contributing positively to the overall work environment.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data compilation, documentation, and product information.
  • Bring a fresh and imaginative perspective to product coordination, research, and problemsolving.
  • Hold a relevant degree or course qualification.

From £24,250.00 per year
