The postholder will lead effective the LDT commissioning strategy and operational policies for promoting integration and improved outcomes for the Local Delivery Team working with the wider NENC ICS partners.

Working closely with colleagues across North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board Job Description and Person Specification. the ICB strategy, contracting and procurement directorates to deliver the objectives of the ICB and local place plans.

The Strategic Head of Commissioning/Primary Care will be responsible for producing, monitoring and implementing an annual work plan.

This plan will be developed with colleagues in transformation, strategy, contracting and procurement directorates and will support coordinated working across directorates.

This will include the detailed governance arrangements to provide assurance to the ICB that statutory functions are effectively discharged. (The two 8C Strategic Head Roles will have a specific remit to cover Primary Care or Mental Health, Learning Disability, Community, UEC and CYP Commissioning.
