PRODUCTION OPERATIVE


We are currently looking for temporary to permanent Production Operatives to join one of our teams on the rolling double day shift.

This is very much a 'hands on' and physical role, operating a variety of machines and equipment and ensuring that machine changeovers, quality standards, H&S and housekeeping requirements are met.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm on shift rota basis.

Main duties:

  • Complete task/s as shown and explained to you by the shift supervisor
  • Question these instructions if not understood.
  • Recognising and reporting when very basic things go wrong
  • Label & Stack 20kg Boxes in a set pattern
  • Shrink wrap the stack
Secondary role

  • Keep your machine clean
  • Keep the Factory shop floor clean
  • Empty the shop floor bins
  • Health & Safety: Ensure you always know and wear the correct PPE and Work wear
Skills/Qualities

  • Previous experience working in manufacturing
  • Previous experience of powder handling, plastic extrusion


 FLT Licence
  • Reach and Counterbalance (advantageous)
  • Capable of lifting 20kg from floor height to 5 feet high
  • General Health & Safety awareness
  • Good communication and numeracy skills
  • Willing to learn and able to listen
  • Able to work in a team or alone
  • Able to work shifts between the hours of 6am2pm and 2pm10pm
  • Flexible to work extra hours if needed
Hourly pay rate £11.48 including shift premium.


Pay is on a weekly basis via our Agency for first 12 weeks, then if successful in your probationary period you will go on to a permanent contract.
