Lead Sports Coach

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead sports activities and training sessions for children and/or adults
  • Teach fundamental skills and techniques specific to the sports
  • Provide guidance and instruction on proper form, strategy, and rules of the sport
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment for participants
  • Develop lesson plans and organize practice sessions
  • Monitor and evaluate participants' progress and provide feedback
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior among participants
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and stored

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children or individuals in a coaching or teaching capacity
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in the specific sport(s) being coached (e.g. football, dodgeball etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage behaviour and maintain discipline during coaching sessions
  • Knowledge of child development principles and techniques for working with children
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Degree or coaching qualifications in physical education or related field (preferred)

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: per week

Salary:
£12.50-£18.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
  • Signing bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kendal: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)
