Care Support Worker - Mental Health

Locations covered:
William Harvey, Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother


Band 2 or Band 3
Day Rate - £ 11.11per hour

Night/Sat Rate - £15.00 per hour

Sun/Bank Holiday Rate - £18.78per hour

What you'll be responsible for

  • Recognising the individuality of the patient and help to meet his or her social, emotional, and intellectual needs
  • Will be involved in the delivery and coordination of ward activities
  • Ensuring that basic physical needs are met, such as adequate diet, hygiene, warmth, comfort, and safety
  • Assisting in planned treatments in accordance with multidisciplinary team approach

You'll have the following qualification/experience:

  • An NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care Qualification or Care Certificate Qualification that has been obtained within the NHS
  • A minimum of 6 months experience if one of the above qualifications is obtain, if not a minimum of 12 months is required. Experience must be within an NHS Hospital.
  • Undertake regular mandatory training
  • Some roles will need a valid PMVA/MAPA training
