THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The reports administrator role sits within our Daventry-based company; Bush & Co.

Bush & Co is the largest and fastest growing provider of expert witness medico-legal reports, immediate needs assessments and case management services in the UK.

For over 30 years we have provided a service to injured people, to solicitors and to insurance companies.

We specialise in catastrophic and serious injury cases and act on referral from the injured person or by instruction from the Claimant or Defendant representative.


Our reports production specialists are responsible for the accurate proofreading and formatting of our expert witness and immediate needs assessment reports, ensuring that ideas are expressed clearly and logically and form a coherent and meaningful whole.

Attention to detail is essential for the successful management of a fluid workload, and successful delivery of a high standard of service to both internal and external customers.

You will be required to work some of the time in our Daventry office, working from home is flexible.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Proofreading reports in fine detail to detect errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and general coherency
  • Formatting reports to company standard and preparing associated letters and other supporting documentation on Microsoft Word, using the standard Bush & Co templates
  • Calculating costs of recommendations made within reports
  • Ensuring that all documentation is processed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ensuring that reports and other documentation are checked for clinical accuracy and legal compliance via the Quality Assurance team before forwarding on to solicitors
  • Ensuring that electronic copies of all documentation are maintained and stored on the company database and any other data drives where applicable
  • Processing incoming documentation relating to joint statements for both internal and external customers
  • Maintaining regular filing and saving onto the Matter Sphere database as required, thus maintaining the integrity of the information held within
  • Providing regular progress updates of workloads to the Team Leader/nominated allocator, including liaison with internal and external clients as appropriate
  • Prompt communication to the team leader of any factors that are likely to affect the successful completion of allocated work within the agreed timescale
  • Other duties commensurate with your role and the smooth running of your team and the company as a whole, according to business needs, including handling inbound calls to the main switchboard

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Educated to minimum 'A' level or equivalent in English language
  • Educated to minimum 'C' grade GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths
  • Intermediate/Advanced Word skills
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Good level of general computing literacy
