Our client, located in Haslingden, is a well established, dynamic business looking to employ a Financial Controller on a permanant basis.

Day to day you will be reporting into the Finance Director and have responsibility for 1 direct report.

The role is extremly varied and does require strong attention to detail. From Management Accounts to Financial Reporting, no 2 days are the same. This role will suit someone QBE/Part qualified looking to join a stable business with a great, experienced mentor.

Duties:

  • To manage the Finance Assistant ensuring that the tasks are performed accurately, diligently and on a timely basis
  • Full responsible for the Production of the Monthly Management accounts
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and corrections of any mispostings
  • Preparation of yearend files and analysis for audit /tax requirements
  • Full responsibility for Payroll, timesheet preparation, providing information to an external payroll bureau, paying employees, posting journals and reconciling all accounts
  • Payment and reconciliation of HMRC PAYE and pensions
  • Managing the payment of suppliers and posting to bankline for approval.
  • Responsible for VAT submission preparation and payment.
  • Credit card management, analysis and posting to accounts
  • Petty cash
  • Monthly sales reporting

Experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA part/fully qualified or QBE
  • Great attention to detail
  • Commited and able to work as part of a team
