The university is creating a central Engagement and Attendance unit that will take ownership of the systems used to record student attendance and proactively implement the university's Engagement and Attendance policy.


The Attendance Systems Officer (ASO) will be responsible for the effective maintenance and enhancement of the university's new attendance monitoring system in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.


The postholder will build and maintain relationships with service users and act as a first point of contact within the University for matters relating to their designated areas of responsibility.


With a focus on maintaining system efficiency and stability, the ASO will work proactively to identify, initiate and implement system and service improvements in conjunction with a range of stakeholders and take responsibility for reporting and delivering management information back to the business to enhance data capture and influence academic student management communications.


With emphasis on the user experience, the ASO will ensure that all enquiries are correctly dealt with in a professional and timely manner, taking ownership of the issue from first notification to resolution.
