  • Who will I be supporting?
A lovely lady in her 30s who lives in her own supported living home
She has profound multiple learning disabilities, autism and can experience some behaviours of distress
She loves her music and sensory equipment - she's having her own sensory room built in her garden, which she's really excited about
She enjoys swimming and going to hydrotherapy; she loves ice skating, farm animals and loves playing garden games like bowls and coyotes
She has a fabulous relationship with her Mum who visits regularly and makes her hot and spicy food which she loves
Her support team really enjoy supporting her - they've told her they like the 'mischief on her face when she's planning something', 'her smile, laugh and cheeky nature', when she 'belly laughs at anything' and how 'she's very social and interacts with her support team all the time'
What will I be doing?

You will be supporting this lovely lady to live her life how she chooses, to be herself and to achieve her goals
You will be supporting her with personal care, feeding, medication, food shopping, and household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
You will also be providing emotional support and reassurance when she's experiencing behaviours of distress
She sometimes uses a wheelchair when she's out and about so some moving and handling may be required - full training provided
What shifts are available?

This lady is supported 2:1 during the day and 1:1 at night
Day shifts are 8am - 8pm
Waking night shifts are 8pm - 8am
We're looking for someone with flexibility to work a combination of these shifts across weekdays and weekends on a rota basis
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance
We have part-time (25hrs) and full-time (37.5hrs) contracts available
