  • Align key messages with different internal and external stakeholders such as staff, investors, media, community, and regulators.
  • Collaborate with the Bank's Group Corporate Affairs team to meet the Group's communication objectives and ensure local communications align with the Group.
  • Manage the bank's social media content and accounts.
  • Provide support for issues management, especially during crisis situations, by monitoring and managing social and mainstream media proactively.

As the Associate Director in Corporate and Business Communications, you will be responsible for embedding the highest standards of ethics, regulatory and business conduct standards across Standard Chartered Bank.

  • Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters collaboratively.
  • Support the bank's brand and values by performing assigned responsibilities under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in media relations, social media management, and public relations.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written.
  • Professional background in Public Relations or Communications with a minimum of 10 years of experience in media/PR agency and corporate communications of a multinational company.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Cantonese.
  • Maturity and credibility to engage and influence individuals at senior management levels of the Bank.
