We havemonthlyeducation/development halfdays, a dynamic theatre management team and significant investment planned in our infrastructure and innovative electronic patient carerecording systems.

Main duties of the job This post will mostly be clinical and will be leading in the specialities of breast and endoscopy. The post will also take a lead on scheduling all elective patients and lists within the Department. This will involve efficient scheduling to support high, quality performance and support our objectives to meet our Trust and Government waiting targets. The successful candidate will be involved in new scheduling processes where we will learn from cancellations to prevent them happening in the future and provide a better service for our patients. The final aspect of this post will be backfill for other Clinical Leaders in their absence. About us University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographical area which encompasses the Furness peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. We provide a comprehensive range of acute and support hospital services to a population of 350,000 based around Morecambe Bay.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
