Job overview:


The post holder will manage a team that provides mental health and psychologically informed services for children and young people in our communities.

The post holder will work alongside the Service Manager, the multi disciplinary team and be part of the development of the services they support.


We are looking for a flexible, dynamic leader who can deliver mental health services which truly meet the needs of young people.

We encourage leaders from varied backgrounds, including; NHS, Social Care, Youth Justice, and Education.

Main duties of the job:


We are looking for people who see challenges as opportunities and can influence, inspire and energise others, as well as work with people's strengths to strive service improvement and patient experience.


To fully support their team and the Service Manager with the day to day delivery for their designated service area within the locality.


The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the day-to-day operational / clinical issues arising within mental health service delivery.


To actively monitor performance, quality, safety and service development within their service areas, in line with locality and Trust-wide policies and protocols.


To maintain performance with key performance indicators and ensure that their team(s) are providing a responsive, high quality service to clients, their families and carers and meeting commissioner and stakeholder expectations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:

Ensure that (practitioners / clinicians etc.) when working with service users consider the effects and impact of their mental health and risk behaviours on their families, and provide appropriate support, advice and education for all family members.

Qualifications:

Essential criteria:

  • Ongoing professional development working towards degree level Higher degree or postgraduate certificate in area of clinical / therapeutic practice Postbasic teaching Qualification ILM certificate in management or equivalent

Desirable criteria:

  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip SW or Dip OT or equivalent

Experience:

Essential criteria:

  • Budget and resource management
  • Collaborative working between services and working in partnership with statutory and voluntary services

Desirable criteria:

  • Working in a community CFYP Team.

Skills:

Essential criteria:

  • Develop and lead an ageinclusive multiprofessional team and provide ongoing operational, clinical and managerial supervision
