In the Plastic Surgery Department, there is a diverse workload; the subspecialties include trauma, elective hand and upper limb, head and neck, craniofacial, cleft, sarcoma, bone infection, breast reconstruction and skin cancer.

The post holder will have exposure to both emergency and elective practice - on the ward, in clinic and in theatre.


In Vascular Surgery, the post holder will work in a large volume vascular network providing comprehensive elective and emergency vascular care for a population of 1.5 million.

The post holder will have exposure to the full spectrum of arterial and venous practice - on the ward, in clinic and in theatre.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

The post is available for 12 months, full time and primarily based at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. The post will be in 4 month blocks rotating between Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
