Management Accountant

As ManagementAccountant you will be working closely with the Group Finance Manager, covering all aspects of reporting, financial control and business performance.


Responsibilities -

  • Cashflow budgeting, forecasting and planning
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to tax and commercial law
  • Ownership of monthend close (Sales & Purchase ledger, Bank, Accrued purchases)
  • Production of Management accounts
  • Compare actual results v budget/forecast and investigate any material variances
  • Finalisation of Year End accounts and produce supporting schedules for the Auditors
  • Reviewing monthly Applications for Payment (AFP) on strict deadlines
  • Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC and other government
  • Present proactive and meaningful financial analysis to key stakeholders in the business
  • Create a real and active partnership with both operations and management
  • Support the financial planning process (rolling forecast, quarterly and yearly budget)
  • Monitoring and reporting of KPI data
  • Assisting with the creation and monitoring of employee incentive schemes

Skills & Requirements -

  • Experience working within a similar role
  • Analytical and process minded
  • Problemsolving approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Selfdriven and motivated
  • Accounting qualification part/full/QBE (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Excellent Excel skills
