What you'll be doing

As a telephone-based Mental Wellbeing Practitioner, you will act as in a triage service capacity where you will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, make treatment recommendations and provide low level interventions for Bupa insurance members and Bupa Employee Assistance Programme clients.

What's a typical day?


The role will involve working independently and as part of a clinical team whilst liaising daily with internal and external services/organisations.

You will have continuous support from a Clinical Psychologist lead and regular clinical supervision but should be confident in your competencies and have experience working with a diverse range of patient groups.

- Perform telephone-based clinically robust and comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, formulation and treatment planning for clients and members who access the service- To perform all clinical roles and responsibilities in line with Bupa's pillars of clinical governance- To participate in multi-disciplinary decision-making regarding clients or members with psychological and/or psychiatric needs- To have knowledge and awareness of current relevant legislation and own responsibilities for professional practice in relation to risk issues including the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children and to complete relevant mandatory training and updates

Who we're looking for?- Primary Mental Health Worker or High Intensity Worker/CBT therapist or experienced Assistant Psychologist.- Membership of BABCP/UKCP/BPS/HCPC or another recognised professional body- Strong professional and personal drive- Enthusiastic and self-motivated- Ability to respond rapidly and decisively- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- IT proficient- Proven experience of customer service- Working within level of competence and recognising when to escalate
