This job requires a Regulatory Advisor to provide advice and support to the first line of defence in the area of payments and accounts and the investment business.
The primary focus is to obtain and maintain detailed knowledge of appropriate legislation, regulations and guidance published by UK, EU and other regulatory bodies relating to core banking products for individual and corporate customers.
The key responsibilities include advising and working with the 1LoD to design and implement controls to meet regulatory expectations, attending key governance committees and representing the compliance team, and reporting and escalating key regulatory risks to senior management and governance committees.
The candidate should have experience from an appropriate compliance, regulatory, or legal background and deep working knowledge of the FCA rules contained within the High level Standards and Business Standards sections of the FCA Handbook.
Additionally, they should have an understanding of conduct risk and how this impacts the Bank's business and be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of a full range of banking products and functionality for individual and corporate products.
