we are looking for someone to take the lead on all of our food prep as we start to expand our menu.

initially you will be working alongside our management team to develop a few new items with the ultimate goal being you taking over the menu development entirely - this will require a lot of initiative so we are looking for someone who is interested in sourcing and working with great ingredients, building relationships with suppliers, is creative and great at communicating with the rest of the team.

our prep space is super tiny so you will need to be adaptable and organised to make everything work. you should make sure everything is kept stocked up, rotated properly and keep waste to a bare minimum.

You should have the relevant food hygiene training and experience, keep on top of labelling food properly and feel confident training the existing team on any new procedures or tasks.


responsibilities:
- prepare all items on the menu, making sure they are kept in stock at all times
- follow/design recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- adhere to food safety standards
- collaborate with the floor team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals
- take the lead on stock management and stock rotation
- follow all company policies and procedures

qualifications:
- previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is essential
- knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food safety practices
- strong communication skills - you will be training and updating our team on new menu items
