We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Executive to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the marketing efforts for a diverse portfolio of trade exhibitions and magazines. In this role, you will work closely with the Brand Manager and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies. Your contributions will be essential in maximising attendance, driving engagement, and ensuring the overall success of our events while fostering the growth of our publications.

THE ROLE

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns to promote the exhibitions across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and print.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing materials are developed and distributed effectively on time and on budget.
  • Create and execute email newsletters and partner emails and report on results.
  • Develop relationships with internal partners to leverage promotional opportunities within our own publications and external partners to broaden our reach through collaborative marketing and contra deals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Utilise analytics tools to monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Support the sales team with exhibitor promotion, developing materials and creating campaigns.
  • Work with the data team in the development and maintenance of our marketing databases.
  • Provide general support to the marketing department as needed.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Content creation: Drafting compelling copy for promotional materials, website content, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Campaign management: Assisting in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives across multiple platforms.
  • Research and analysis: Conducting market research, analysing data, and preparing reports to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and design, to ensure alignment and synergy in marketing efforts.
  • Event support: Assist with on-site marketing activities during trade exhibitions, including signage placement, visitor experience, and testimonial gathering.

  • A deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to providing exceptional support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and work independently, driving projects forward without constant supervision.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and analytics software and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and platforms.
