As a Bid Manager you will:

  • Lead the production of successful proposals.
  • Work with Account Managers and crossfunctional teams to meet tender deadlines.
  • Champion the established bid processes.
  • Articulate key sales messages and complex ideas in engaging and accessible ways.
  • Create new written and graphic materials and review/edit existing content.
  • Support the production of bespoke presentation collateral.
  • Add value to commercial discussions.
  • Facilitate solutions and problem solving.
  • Contribute to the continual development and embedding of best practices.
To succeed as a Bid Manager, you will need:

  • Transferable bid/tender/proposal experience, responding to public sector (especially NHS), and corporate bids.
  • Strong understanding of different types of procurement processes (proposals/Direct contract/DPS/Frameworksetc.)
  • Selfmotivation and be comfortable working independently.
  • Proactive problem solving and confidence leading stakeholder engagement and coordinating activity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (inc. MS Office suite).
  • Effective time management/prioritisation and project management skills.
  • Understanding of commercial models.
  • Strong forensic analytical skills with a very good eye for detail.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with complex and conflicting demands.
  • Relevant health, wellbeing and clinical services industry experience desirable.
  • APMP is highly desirable.
