About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Environment, Waste and Radiological Services capability group, you will work on a variety of technical projects, providing specialist advice and delivering environmental and waste management documentation to support our clients in the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our UK new build clients with environmental and waste management services
  • Provide specialist advice on environmental permitting and Best Available Techniques (BAT) assessments
  • Develop waste management strategies and radioactive waste characterisation and inventory
  • Model radiological doses and manage radioactive contaminated land
  • Work with clients to develop staff management, client liaison, and bid development skills

Requirements

  • Previous experience in environmental permitting and/or BAT assessments
  • Knowledge of waste management strategy development, radioactive waste characterisation and inventory, radiological dose modelling, and radioactive contaminated land management
  • Experience in staff management, client liaison, and bid development
  • Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body

Security Clearance

This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
