Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Phlebotomy
  • New patient health checks
  • Simple dressings
  • ECG/blood pressure/spirometry and reversibility monitoring
  • Administration of Flu/B12/Shingles/Pneumococcal vaccinations
  • Assisting GPs in coil fitting
  • Chaperoning
  • Collection and monitoring of clinical waste and preparation of sharps bin

Further responsibilities:

  • Receptionist and clinical administration duties
  • Assisting in clinical administration tasks
  • Monitoring fridges and logging cold chain records
  • Ordering clinical supplies as necessary
  • Assisting in seasonal clinics such as the flu jab drive
  • Participating in practice meetings
  • Reporting to the Senior Nurse and the nursing team
  • Undertaking any other necessary clinical and nonclinical tasks as delegated

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical healthcare role.
  • You should be experienced in using a clinical software platform such as EMIS Web or SystmOne, and have experience using software associated with healthcare equipment such as ECG machines.
  • Ideally experienced in primary care, although secondary care experience is also welcome.
  • A bubbly, friendly, and sociable person willing to get stuck into the role and lend a hand wherever it's needed.
  • You should be keen to help develop the practice's quality and identify areas where we can improve patient care.

Chartfield Surgery is a 14,000-patient practice located in central Putney.

We are a training practice with a large and friendly team which would suit an applicant looking for a long-term position.
