  • Supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Assisting with the monitoring and assessment of student progress
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards one

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Prior experience working with children with SEN is desirable

  • Understanding of the needs of students with SEN
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in areas such as Makaton, Team Teach, or Autism Awareness
  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Work may involve physical activities such as assisting students with mobility or personal care
  • Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
