Peripatetic Care Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning
  • Escort clients to appointments and outings
  • Document client care and report any changes in condition to the supervisor
  • Many of our clients require clinical competencies, you will be required to undertake all relevant clinical training with our nursing team, such as PEG, Trachyostomy, Catheter etc.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
