Trainee Fencing Estimator

Who we are
We are seeking a Trainee Fencing Estimator for our office in St Albans.

A construction degree or some relevant experience within a construction environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

As part of the training program, the applicant will be trained to manage all aspects of the pricing of domestic and commercial fencing contracts

This will include:

  • Surveying domestic and commercial sites
  • Responding to phone and online inquiries
  • Creating construction drawings for our installers
  • Filling out bills of quantity for large construction projects
  • Preparing quotations
  • Conducting drawing takeoffs
  • Negotiating fencing contracts with suppliers and customers

Who we are looking for
Applicants do not need previous experience, but we are looking for some of the following skills;

  • An optimistic individual who is interested in starting a career in estimating
  • Have an interest in working in the construction industry


 Good IT Skills
  • In particular MS Excel
  • Obtaining a Full UK Driving License
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Great teamwork skills
  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry (not essential but desirable)
