Main Duties:
- Provide high-quality ultrasound services
- Support team members to achieve service objectives
- Contribute to clinical leadership and research activities
- Mentor and develop junior staff
- Promote specialty development within the imaging field
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure patient welfare and comfort during ultrasound examinations
- Maintain departmental quality standards
- Engage in continuous learning and improvement
- Conduct informal visits and discussions with interested candidates
Person Specification:
Qualifications
Essential
- Graduate Radiographer or equivalent
- Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
- State registered with the HCPC
- Specialization in obstetric ultrasound
Desirable
- Addition of Nuchal translucency accreditation
- MSc in Medical Ultrasound or relevant training
Experience
Essential
- Proficiency in abdominal, gynaecological, and obstetric scanning
- Experience in clinical audit and supervision
Desirable
- Additional qualification in MSK imaging
- Experience in other specialties
Skills
Essential
- Effective communication with patients and colleagues
- Strong written communication abilities
- Computer literacy
- Counseling skills
