You will be part of a team of eight, assisting the Shared Services Purchase Ledger Team based in Gloucester. This team is responsible for managing the invoice to payment process across various entities, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless and efficient operations.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Support Purchase Ledger Clerks in accurately processing purchase invoices
  • Update the query log regarding invoice approval issues
  • Monitor Purchase Ledger mailboxes and respond to emails promptly and professionally
  • Assist in reconciling statements and resolving debit balances
  • Handle administrative tasks as assigned by the Purchase Ledger Team
  • Responsible for opening and distributing Finance post

Key Skills / Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred, but open to individuals looking to enter the Finance sector for the first time
  • Familiarity with SAGE software is advantageous (training provided if needed)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing work demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel (training offered if required)
  • Team player mentality with a willingness to engage and contribute
