What you'll do:


You will be enrolled on our industry leading apprenticeship development programme providing you with an opportunity to pour the foundations for a successful career with one of the UK's largest suppliers of building materials to the building and construction industry.

This is anything but 'just a job', you'll be working whilst completing our bespoke 12 month scheme which will teach you how to sell by providing great service, understanding our customers' needs and our business strategy, product awareness, safety, first line management skills and so much more.


Your learning will be "on the job" with time set aside each week to complete any necessary coursework, and there is no expectation to take work home with you.

You'll have a dedicated apprenticeship coach who will support you every step of the way.


You'll start the programme working in our Toolstation store learning the skills of fast paced retailing and after 4 months you will move onto work in one of our Travis Perkins branches where you will discover the world of construction supplies across building, timber, kitchens, plumbing and heating, landscaping, painting and decorating and all things that matter to the trade.

The remainder of your 12 months will be spent either in one of our other businesses, a distribution centre or a head office support function position.

After that, you'll be set to continue in a great career within our group.

Experience is not needed, in fact, experience in any sort of work is not required because if you have the right attitude to learn and genuinely want to develop a career, we can teach you the rest.
