LilaConnect is UK-based fibre optic internet service provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of VX FIBER.

With a focus on bringing the best digital connectivity to those living and working in communities across the UK by literally connecting their property directly to the internet.


Lila Connect are looking for a field-based Fibre Broadband Adviser to help us achieve our customer acquisition targets in Colchester and the surrounding area.

We're looking for an all-round sales superstar. Someone who is professional, confident, skilled, flexible, and totally focussed on helping customers find a better broadband solution.

Most of your work will be field-based, out in the community - knocking on residential doors in the areas we have connected to our full fibre broadband network.

Your job is to explain to prospective residential customers the benefits of subscribing and join our growing customer base.


You may also be asked from time-to-time to switch sales channels and spend some time making and receiving calls to and from prospective customers - who may have visited our website for example.

So, this is a job where no two days are ever the same and so would suit a professional salesperson who enjoys variety and can quickly adapt to different situations, challenges and opportunities with limited notice.

You will need to be resilient, and customer focused with a keen eye for details; keeping client and lead information accurate and up to date.

You'll also be supported by expert colleagues and a wealth of industry knowledge and experience from the rest of team.

  • You're a consultative sales professional who knows you don't have to be pushy to be good at selling service solutions
  • Someone who enjoys cold calling perhaps with experience of doortodoor sales
  • A positive and enthusiastic person who enjoys talking to and helping people
  • You have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A selfstarter who is comfortable working on your own initiative (although ample support will be provided).
  • Someone who has good organisational skills and uses technology to ensure they work as productively as possible
  • A resilient person, able to maintain a positive upbeat attitude even on the most challenging of days
  • Someone who is good at thinking on their feet
  • You find it easy to build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers and colleagues
  • You enjoy working positively, collaboratively, and progressively with colleagues
  • You are professional, presentable, and always able to make a good impression
  • You have a clean driving license and own (or have access to) a reliable car that you could use to travel to your sales area (StokeonTrent or surrounding area)
What do you know? Skills & Experience

  • Able to demonstrate successful experience in field sales and lead generation
  • Specific fibre broadband, network and/or technical sales experience would be an advantage but by no means mandatory
  • Comfortable with cold calling either in person, doortodoor or on the telephone.
  • Able to prospect using various mediums like organizing and attending popup events, phone calls, door2door calling etc
  • Able to understand relevant data and be attentive to detail
  • Able to exhibit patience when communicating with customers and to remain professional and always composed even with challenging customers
  • Able to be flexible to customer requirements
  • Able to manage, maintain and prioritise a residential prospecting pipeline.
  • Able to identify key decision makers quickly and engage them in highquality discussions about Lila solutions
  • Previous track record of achieving sales growth budgets
  • Able to communicate with people of all levels of our business
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite (Excel, Work, PowerPoint) and CRM
  • Able to demonstrate a cando attitude with the ability to remain focussed in a busy environment
  • Able to undertake any travel in connection with the post.

Desirable

  • An understanding of the telecoms and fibre broadband industry and associated supply chain.
  • An understanding of social media channels and how to interact via different platforms.
Training and Development

  • Full technical, product and process training will be provided for this role.
  • On occasions applicants may be required to attend meetings/training at a variety of different locations.
