Job Title: Purchaser at a Leading Aerospace Company
The primary responsibility of the Purchaser is to oversee the procurement of aircraft parts, materials, and services essential for the timely maintenance of aircraft.
- Procuring a diverse range of aircraft components, materials, and equipment in accordance with operational procedures and requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Placing purchase orders promptly and ensuring timely delivery of parts to meet operational needs.
- Monitoring material delivery progress by actively following up with vendors and logistics partners to facilitate on-time aircraft delivery.
- Managing inventory levels within established guidelines to support operational efficiency.
- Investigating and resolving supply chain discrepancies through thorough root cause analysis.
- Constantly seeking ways to enhance purchasing practices to reduce external expenditure.
- Contributing to the development and enforcement of policies and procedures for Materials Purchasing, promoting compliance among staff.
- Identifying potential new suppliers, negotiating discount schemes and volume rebates.
- Providing necessary clearance information to couriers and freight forwarders for all imports, ensuring compliance with Customs and Excise regulations.
- May be required to provide occasional weekend work support.
- This position offers a salary of £30,000 per annum for a standard day shift from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
