Job Description

The RTW Bridal Designer will work closely with the Brand Director to develop ideas and support the design and development of ready-to-wear collections. They will work to initiate design concepts reflective on the brand's ethos and vision, and liaise with the production team to lead the development process through to the finished product. This is an exciting role and opportunity to be part of a creative and energetic environment where you will collaborate with different departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work on seasonal RTW collections and design products that reflect the brand vision
  • Research concepts, create sketches and prototypes throughout the concept development phase
  • Work with the team to build RTW range plans
  • Liaise with suppliers to source and order fabric, yarn, trimmings and other components
  • Create detailed tech packs for sampling and production
  • Lead product development of RTW seasonal collections, working with the production team to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved
  • Responsible for fit sessions and assessment samples to resolve any product development or quality issues
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners and suppliers

Qualifications

  • Experience working in bridal/womenswear design
  • Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent qualification in a related field
  • Ability to contribute creative design ideas with a high level of skill in sketching, technical drawing and pattern cutting and draping
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to deliver clear and accurate tech packs
  • Strong textile and technical knowledge of womenswear garments and ability to contribute solutions for finishes
  • Has commercial acumen and is customer focused
  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience presenting to senior team members
