THE ROLE - WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an apprentice you will help provide administrative and customer service support as required. You will work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge alongside your apprenticeship.

Together we will assist you to complete your qualification and will enable you to build skills and experience that can be transferred into your future career.


  • Learn how to handle inbound and outbound calls for multiple areas
  • Learn how to manage our mailboxes and how to respond to supporter queries
  • Learn how to prepare and send letters in response to our supporters
  • Learn how to process payments using a number of payment platforms
  • Learn about compliance
  • Learn how to process nonfinancial and financial transactions
  • Learn how to sort, open, process and scan incoming and outgoing post
  • Learn how to capture and maintain sensitive supporter information through our database
  • Learn how to pack and send fulfilment orders including printing multiple letters
  • Responsible for managing time effectively
  • Be an ambassador for the apprenticeship scheme and positive representative for Support Services and mentor to future apprentices.
  • Help provide an excellent experience and Service for our supporters
  • Foster effective relationships internally and externally to engage with a range of audiences and individuals

THE PERSON - WHO YOU ARE

You will have:

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good telephone manner and ability to communicate effectively
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Great enthusiasm and initiative with a positive outlook (Willingness to learn)

You will be:

  • Organised with the ability to manage time effectively
  • IT literate with some experience of using Microsoft Office

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

  • You will undertake the Customer Service Specialist Level 3 apprenticeship.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education:

  • GCSE English and maths at grades 9 or equivalent. We can support you to complete Maths and English If you do not hold the required GCSE grades.

Location:

  • This is a Hybrid working role, where you'll work part of your time at home and part of the time from our Head Office based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.
