Copello is looking for a Contract Project Manager to join a Defence Services business based in Fareham, for a 6-month period, Inside IR35.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will have responsibility of taking over and leading small to medium scale projects to ensure execution and delivery from their current position, including planning, and managing the people, resources, and scope of the projects.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring work is planned and communicated to teams ensuring collaboration and relationship management.
- Ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the required specification, preparing the affected staff and business areas for any new ways of working.
- Holding full responsibility and authority to complete the assigned project as per the PMP, to include: Strategic/organisational alignment; Project scope definition; Feasibility assessment and contingency plans; Constraints; Material/equipment requirements; Project schedule and milestones; Budget/cost estimate; Risk Management; Project issues; Change management; Approvals.
To apply for this role, you will have:
- A Project Management qualification (APM, Prince2, or equivalent).
- Experience of working in, with, or for, UK Ministry of Defence clients, preferably aligned to MOD or DE&S.
- Experience, knowledge and proven track record of delivery and integration of complex projects.
- Experience building strong commercial relationships with customers and suppliers and understanding of the commercial aspects of providing projects against fixed price contracts.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail with a logical and structured approach to work, with a high level of concentration.
The role may require elements of travel within the UK.
This role offers a rate of £550 per day INSIDE IR35, as well as a flexible and remote working opportunity, but based out of site in Fareham.
